The Hoop-D-Do basketball tournament on June 25-26 drew about 55,000 spectators and had 8,300 participants, making it one of the biggest sporting events in the area, with 63,300 people. Compare that to a sellout Cowboys game, 63,855; a sellout Mavericks game, 17,007; or a sellout Sidekicks game, 16,824.
